Overview
LulusKPP (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is an independent study aid for the Malaysian JPJ KPP (Kurikulum Pendidikan Pemandu) driving-theory test. We built the app to be privacy-first: it works entirely on your device and does not require an account. This policy explains what data the app does — and does not — handle.
Information we collect
We, the developer, do not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on our own servers. The app has no user accounts, no sign-up, and no login. The only third party that processes data is our advertising provider, Google AdMob, as described under “Advertising” below.
To make the app work, the following is saved only on your own device
(in the app’s local browser storage, localStorage) and is never sent to us
or to anyone else:
- Your quiz and practice progress and best mock-exam score.
- Your preferences, such as language (English / Bahasa Melayu) and light/dark theme.
This information stays on your device. We have no servers that receive it and we cannot see it.
Advertising
The app is free and supported by ads served through Google AdMob (provided by Google LLC). To serve and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process certain data on our behalf, including:
- your device’s advertising ID and related device identifiers;
- device and app information (e.g. device model, operating system, app version);
- your IP address, from which an approximate (coarse) location may be derived;
- ad interaction data (such as ads shown, taps, and basic performance metrics).
Google uses this data to deliver, personalise (where you consent), cap, and measure ads, and to detect fraud and abuse. Google acts as an independent controller of the data it collects through its ad services. For details, see How Google uses information from ads and How AdMob handles data.
Your choices. Where required (for example, in the EEA, the UK, and certain other regions), we show a consent dialog via Google’s User Messaging Platform before any ad is requested, and you can choose non-personalised ads. You can also reset your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalisation at any time in your device’s Settings → Google → Ads.
The app shows ads only at natural break points (for example, after finishing a practice section or exam, and a banner on the study/notes screen). Ads are never shown in the middle of a question.
Permissions
The app requests the standard INTERNET permission (used for normal app
delivery, content, and loading ads) and the advertising-ID permission
(com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID) used by Google AdMob to serve ads.
The app does not request or access your precise location, contacts,
camera, microphone, photos, or files.
Children’s privacy
LulusKPP is a general-audience study aid intended for learner drivers and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the app is not designed for or marketed to children.
Data security & retention
Your on-device progress and preferences never leave your device and are protected by your device’s own security. You can erase them at any time by clearing the app’s data/storage or uninstalling the app. Data processed by Google AdMob for advertising is handled and retained by Google in accordance with its own policies (linked under “Advertising”).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date above. If a future version of the app changes how data is collected or shared, this policy and the app’s Google Play Data safety details will be updated to describe it before that version is released.
Your rights (PDPA)
For users in Malaysia, we handle personal data in line with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). As we hold no personal data on our own servers, requests relating to the advertising data described above should be directed to Google; you can also manage or reset your advertising ID in your device settings.
